Dr. Mahendra Sapkota

Sapkota, Mahendra was a doctoral student at the collaborative research project of Swiss National Centre of Competence in Research (NCCR) North-South, Kathmandu University and University of Zurich. He holds his Masters degree in Rural Development from the Tribhuvan University, Nepal. The theme of his ongoing PhD is “Contested Rural Development”- to be seen from the view points of emerging social/ ethnic movements in Nepal. His key research interest are on social-cultural changes; mobilization and representation of people; agency-structure dynamics; and, changing institutions and livelihood strategies.
