CSR on Tourism: Capacity Building
As an integral part of the ongoing Partnership Actions for Mitigating Syndromes (PAMS) project that has aimed to the responsible development of the tourism sector in Pokhara , Pokhara Tourism Council (PTC) and the National Center of Competence in Research NCCR North-South in association with Nepal Tourism Board organized a half day event on CSR on Tourism in Pokhara: Interaction and Capacity-building Program on 20 November (Tuesday) 2012 at Hotel Vajra Inn in Lake Side, Pokhara. The program was chaired by Mr. Tikaram Sapkota (President of PTC) in which Mr. Ashok Palikhe (Founding President of PTC) was the chief guest. A total of 50 representatives of 11 member associations of PTC participated in this important event of tourism sector. There were following for presentations done with the objective of building knowledge and determinations of the tourism business entrepreneurs for their informed application of CSR on tourism.

Above presentation were followed by various questions and answers in the open session. The event was largely supportive to enhance the shared knowledge and understanding on the high value and importance of CSR on sustainable tourism which could be impetus for a peace-responsive tourism sector in Pokhara.
